On 25.06.2010 Arco Invest EOOD (a Bulgarian development company, which is a 100% subsidiary of Arco Vara) was granted the authorisation for use of the commercial and residential building Sofia Boulevard Residence Madrid. This
12-storey building represents a commercial and residential development project with the total gross area of ca 25'000 square metres; 81 per cent of the 7300 m2 of commercial areas of the project are encumbered with preliminary rental
contracts, and 69 per cent of the 87 apartments of the building are covered by contracts under the law of obligations.
The authorisation for use entitles the company to start executing real right contracts, and transferring rental premises to the use of customers.
The Madrid project is the most extensive project in the history of Arco Vara, which was developed independently by the company from the outset to the very end, and is the largest direct investment ever made by an Estonian company in
Bulgaria.
